Asso Protector Tapered Shockleader

Product Description

Asso Tapered Shockleader is the new line from giant Italian line manufacturer GRUPPO DP. The benefits of using a tapered leader over a standard leader are many. The knot between the running line and the leader is much smaller as it is tied between 2 lines of the same thickness. when fishing with a multiplier style reel with a levelwind attached, the smaller knot of the tapered leader passes through the levelwind more easily, with less chance of causing an overrun.

Also if you are using a fixed spool reel for shore casting, with a fine braided running line, then it is also very important to use a tapered shockleader, as this greatly reduces the chance of a "snap-off" due to ring wrap.

Each spool contains 5 pre-cut leaders per spool.
