Breakaway Coasters are tough durable reel mounts for surf rods. Fixed spool reels can be held by using a figure of eight.

They come in a "one size fits all" and once the reel is secure simply cut off the excess. Really useful either as a coaster in their own right or as a back up in case of emergency.
