The Anderida Fishing Club is is a very friendly club organised by an elected committee and co-ordinated from Anglers Den.
Club Competitions are held approximately fortnightly in Pevensey Bay, on a weekday in the evening (7pm to 10pm).
Membership of Anderida Fishing Club, as with any local sea or coarse fishing club membership, entitles you to 10% off your purchases in the shop (excluding bait).
Want to Join Us? - book-in at the shop at 6pm on the evening of the comp. You can fish one or two matches before deciding whether to join (membership costs £15) and you can complete a Membership Form in the shop. It costs £10 to fish a match (£11 for non-members) - cash prizes at each comp.
2024 Competition Dates
Club matches are followed by sandwiches, a drink and chance to talk fishing at the Ocean View cafe!
Club Membership costs £15 per year for seniors, £1 for juniors. Its possible to fish competitions as a non-member, paying an extra £1. There are additional club events throughout the year, eg. Annual Members-Only Comp.
If competitions are not for you, there are many cups and shields awarded to club members for species of fish caught throughout the year.

2024 Results
Wednesday 23rd February
Anderida fished a match on Friday 23rd of February with a fantastic 32 anglers fishing in what started as windy and wet then turned into a pleasant evening as the wind and rain eased!
Some excellent fish were caught with the majority species again dogfish but also some nice thornback rays. The match was extremely close with some really good weights in 3 hours.
The winner was Mark Almeida with dogfish and 2 rays for 19lb 4½oz.
Joint second were Danny May and Colin Isaacs with 19lb 3¼oz, also with dogfish and rays.
4th was Chris Kirrage with 18lb 8¼oz, mostly dogfish.
5th was Jay Blackmar with 17lb 6oz, which included the biggest fish and superpool winner with a ray of 8lb 4oz!
6th was Ollie Franks with 4 rays and a couple of dogfish for 16lb 3oz.
The heaviest flatfish was a flounder of 7oz for Grant Bryant.
The next Anderida Match will take place on Monday 11th March fishing from 7-10pm.
Wednesday 7th February
Anderida fished a club match in unpleasant conditions wind strong winds and heavy rain. Despite the conditions 30 hardy anglers fished and plenty of fish were caught.
Species included 3 thornback rays (returned alive) dogfish, dabs, flounders and a plaice.
The winner with a thornback and dogfish was Gavin Croft with 11lb 13½oz .
2nd was Peter Hicks with 11lb 11oz.
3rd Paul King 10lb 11½oz .
4th Andy Reeves 10lb 5oz .
5th Colin Isaacs 9lb 15½oz.
6th Kevin Morgan 9lb.
The heaviest round and superpool winner was Danny May with a thornback of 5lb 6¼oz . The heaviest flatfish was Gary Banfield with a flounder of 14½oz.
The next Anderida Match will take place on Friday 23rd February fishing from 7-10pm.
Thursday 25th January
On Thursday 25th January a fantastic 33 anglers fished the Anderida club match in Pevensey Bay, the second match of 2024. The strong winds forecast didn’t materialise and so fishing was good, especially for dabs.
