Directions

Follow Eastbourne Road heading west out of Pevensey Bay and follow the signs to Eastbourne Seafront. Proceed west along Eastbourne Seafront (Royal Parade). Approx  2.4 miles  from Sovereign roundabout, past the pier and bandstand,  Wish Tower is the Martello Tower on the grassy hill on the seafront. There is ample parking along Grand Parade/King Edwards Parade, or in the Wish Tower Car Park.

Parking is easy at this location and there are toilets and Refreshments nearby. 

Recreational Bass Fishing Restrictions - Updated October 2023

1st Feb - 31st March - recreational sea angling for seabass is permitted on a catch and release basis only.

1st April - 31st January - recreational sea anglers are permitted to retain up to two bass per angler per day (over the minimum conservation reference size of 42cm).

 

UPDATE 2021

CONGER EELS may also now be caught at this location, from Spring through to Autumn. Best baits for conger are large fish or squid baits, fished on a large hooked (size 5/0+) Pulley Pennel rig, best after dark.
