Smoothhound - up to double figures, are being caught from local beaches, alongside strap conger eels and occasional thornback rays, with fishing being generally better at night.
Pictured is Pete Cornwall with a nice sized Smoothhound caught from a local beach last week in a session that included several smoothhounds, two rays, dogfish, pout, dover sole and five strap congers. Nice one Pete!

The larger spring tides has meant fishing generally has picked up, with a few dover sole also being caught and the odd bream - a sign that summer species are starting to show.
