Directions

Follow Eastbourne Road heading west out of Pevensey Bay towards Eastbourne. Take the left turning to Bay View Golf/Caravan Park (Old Martello Rd, BN24 6DX). Follow this road past the entrance to the Caravan Park on the left, to the end of the road by the beachfront houses. Turn to the right and the beach is accessed straight ahead at the end of the houses.

Recreational Bass Fishing Restrictions - Updated October 2023

1st Feb - 31st March - recreational sea angling for seabass is permitted on a catch and release basis only.

1st April - 31st January - recreational sea anglers are permitted to retain up to two bass per angler per day (over the minimum conservation reference size of 42cm).

UPDATE 2021

CONGER EELS may also now be caught at this location, from Spring through to Autumn. Best baits for conger are large fish or squid baits, fished on a large hooked (size 5/0+) Pulley Pennel rig, best after dark.
