Dan and Ben Slidel caught smoothhound and thornback ray during a session on a Bexhill beach at the weekend.Thanks Dan Slidel for these great pictures and report:
'Cracking night down Bexhill....hound on the first cast followed by small congers, a couple of rays and a few more hounds.
Lost two nice fish when both rods went off at once! Ben Slidel did amazing with 9 hounds! Smallest was 6lb8oz biggest went 8lb10oz, they were angry with some savage runs and great fights.
All caught on pulley pennels on Anglers Den squid squid at distance. We could have had more but we ran out of squid!'
