First Small Eyed Ray for Glyn - Bexhill

A very happy Glyn Morgan is pictured with his first small eyed ray caught last night at Bexhill, and reports:
' A 50 cm small eyed ray (first one for me), just under 7lb on the weight to measure chart, caught at Bexhill on squid and bluey cocktail bait.
Was fishing with mates Les Glazzard, Gary Banfield and Peter Ayers. We had a good night catching 11 rays in total, plus a bass for Gary
(as usual). Main baits were squid and bluey and king prawn.'
Small eyed rays have been increasingly caught amongst the catches of thornback rays from local beaches in recent times. Great to see!!
