Eastbourne and Pevensey Beach Fishing Early August

With the lovely weather and busy beaches, the best daylight times to go beach fishing at the moment are dawn and dusk.

Smoothound are still being caught from local beaches along with some black and gilt head bream.

Dave Cowdery is pictured below with two gilt head bream caught from a Pevensey bach - thanks for sending David!

Night fishing is bringing the best results with some sole, rays, bass and small congers being caught.

Hopefully the recent spell of good weather might encourage mackerel that are being caught off boats, in to the shore .

Meanwhile, lure fishing for bass around rocks and gulleys can prove fruitful with dawn and dusk being the best times.
