An end to the May weed/May rot/Algae bloom - Let's Hope So!!

Great that we are starting to see the end of the May weed/May rot/Algae bloom off the local shore!!
Whatever YOU call it, the smelly scum that collects on the shoreline gets in the way, and every year we are happy when it finally clears!
It has been great to hear increasing catch reports over the past week or so, especially of bass and smoothhound, and the odd thornback ray, being caught off local beaches.

Thanks Pete Cornwell who has sent pictures from recent fishing trips with fishing buddy Sala, and reports:
'Me and sala have both landed bass over 50cm, along with smoothies to 7lb, dogs and odd sole. Hoping the numbers of fish pics up soon. Tight lines.'
