On 18th July Jason Carter reported:

'Caught this brute last night just over 12lb Eastbourne on a pulley pennel rig with crab on the ebb also had 5 more, and a 98cm conger'

Jason Carter was out fishing again on 18th July from an Eastbourne beach and reported:

'First double of the night was this cracking smooth hound just over 15lb pulley pennel on crab.

Lost a few big fish too but had a 10.5lb too, a few 9s 8.5 and a couple of 7s few 5s and 4s'

It's been a week of smoothhound fishing from Eastbourne beaches for Jason Carter this past week, with some great results!

Jay reported:

'bit slower than the previous two nights as lot's of weed. I had 5 hounds 2x 10lb ers a 7.5lb, 2x 5lbs, 3x bass 2x 46cm 1x40cm, and two small thornbacks all on crabs on a pulley pennel.'

For a slower night, that sounds busy!!
