Tope from the Beach 3rd June at Normans Bay? - You decide!
Thanks Phil West for these pictures from an early evening session on the beach at Alices Pipe, Normans Bay over the weekend.
We thought at first that the first picture was a smoothhound as plenty of these are being caught this time of year from local beaches - but on closer inspection it looks more like a tope? Opinions on social media have been very divided...It's quite a small image (expanding it just makes it blurry), which isn't helping - If it is a tope, it's a very unusual and interesting catch from the beach!
