PEVENSEY BAY - RAY, BASS, CODLING, SOLE - GREAT FAMILY FISHING TRIP

Amy and Jack Ripley are pictured with great catches on a fishing trip with dad Luke, who reported:

Thanks Jason Scott for these pictures of a 14.15lb conger eel caught from an Eastbourne beach last night.

Jason reported : 'Great fight on mackerel head fished on a pennel rig at distance. My biggest fish to date Chuffed 🙂' Well done Jason - thanks for sending!

Thanks Sean Brooks who fished a session on an Eastbourne beach on Saturday night, an hour after low tide all the way up. Sean reported 7 dover sole, 2 plaice, 1 dogfish, 1 smoothound, 1 ray, 1 bass, 1 whiting and 2 pout. That's good mixed bag fishing! Thanks Sean for letting us know :)

Thanks Dan Slidel for these pictures from a session last night at Bexhill that included bass, ray, dogfish and codling, as well as whiting Dan reports:
'Bexhill seems to be fishing well! The whiting came in last night, was a fish a chuck but the bass and baby ray were a nice surprise on a double hook up!'

'Thanks for the great bait and advice again. Normans Bay is still producing. Between the two of us a codling, 2 dogs, 2 eels, 5 whiting, 4 bass (biggest another pb of 3lbs).'

BASS, CODLING, SOLE, FLOUNDER, CONGER, DOGFISH, SILVER EEL - GREAT MIXED FISHING :)

Thanks Pete Cornwell for this catch report from Saturday night:

'Fished Eastbourne with Sala, it was breezy with rain on and off all night. Sea looked perfect, with only small amounts of weed about. Nothing massive caught but a enjoyable night. Fish as follows:

Sala ... 10 X bass (37cm - 42cm), 4 X dogfish (58cm), 1 X codling (36cm), 1 X conger (2lb) est, 1 X Flounder. (30cm)

Me... 11 X bass. (44cm, 45cm, 47cm), 6 X dogfish ( 64cm),

3 X codling (40cm, 45cm, 46cm,), 2 X sole. (28cm, 37cm), 1 X Flounder.( 25cm), 1 X silver eel Small.

'Thanks for the quality bait as usual, can't beat beach fishing when the winds howling, the rains falling , waves crashing on to the shingle as you never know what's coming ashore to feed.

The hard work paid off, 7 dogfish, bass of 46cm and 51cm , right on high tide and my 44th ray of the year and a p.b. small eyed ray of 10lb 3oz , Epic!! Regards Tony'
