16th November 2021

Kevin Morgan is pictured with a PB 8lb 4oz bass caught last night from a local beach.

Great catch, well done Kev - what a picture!!

Alex Tsoflias is pictured with a 43cm coalfish (aka coley or 'black pollock'), not a regular catch from local beaches, although a few have been seen this year . Coalfish look remarkably like pollock, but it's the light coloured lateral line that identifies the coalfish. Great catch and picture - thanks Alex for sending :)

'Thanks for the great bait as usual Friday had a hectic session Saturday morning landing 11 dogfish, 5 rays, numerous sole,plaice, flounder and some jumbo whiting at a local Eastbourne beach.'

Thanks Peter Cornwell for these pictures from a session on a local Eastbourne beach on Friday night when Pete caught a total of 5 bass, 4 of which were sizeable, three at 48cm and one at 42cm!! Well done Pete!!

'Was feeling confident last night with the high tides although was pretty windy,best I could manage was 1 eel, a nice duo of dogfish, and another single dogfish later on, great bait again! Thankyou'

Great report from Pete Cornwell!

'Catch report from last Saturday night, fished Eastbourne pier and beach. Fished with Sala, and Damien . Few fish around but so many dogfish. Fish as follows.

Sala - Pier - 6 dogfish. Beach ..blank, very unusual.

Damien - Pier 6 dogfish, 1 pout. Beach 1 silver eel

Me - Pier - 5 X dogfish, 1 X pout, 1 X sole, 3 X bass (2 at 42cm)
Beach - 3 X bass (1 at 46cm)'

Thanks Harvey Shelley for great pictures from a couple of night's fishing on a local beach.

Harvey fished upto high tide producing a decent dover sole of 40cm, and then a flat and calm evening brought a 31cm flounder and also three pout.

Well done Harvey!
