10th Sept

Gary Banfield is pictured with one of 6 sizeable bass he caught during a night session last week at the Woodyard, Cooden. The biggest (pictured) weighing just under 5lb. All fish were caught on lugworm, some with squid in a cocktail.
All fish were returned alive. Nice fishing again Gary!

There have also been numbers of dover sole from Eastbourne and Pevensey beaches during the last week. Best baits are lug and ragworm, fished on small hooks (size 4 or 2). Best times are at night fishing up to and over high water.

Day fishing has been quiet during the settled spell, but some nice plaice are starting to show now and their numbers should start to increase from now on.
