Lorcan caught this thornback ray, the biggest of three at Cooden today, all caught on whole squid wrapped in fresh lug. Thanks Lorcan :)

Tony Wright reported from a session on a local Eastbourne beach:

'Best fish of a mixed bag of sole, dogs, bass, and 8 lb conger was this 98cm hound caught on Anglers Den double squid' Thanks Tony!

James Wood is pictured with a PB smoothound caught from a local beach - Well done James - top angling!!

A big Well Done also Sophie North pictured with her FIRST EVER SMOOTHOUND caught on lugworm bait yesterday at Langney Point, after a visit to Anglers Den for bait and rigs!

Chris Voller sent these pictures of himself and dad Colin this week saying:

'15 ray caught last night between 2 of us in the bay, as well as the usual dogs and pout. All taken on peeler or sandeel. Ranging in size from butterflies to 7lb Good fishing to all those out over the weekend.'

'Catch report from sat night, fished Eastbourne, fished with Sala. Breezy night but not to bad, fishing was steady, with a few good fish. Felt sorry for the bloke on the next beach having a nightmare of a night but we hav all been there. Fish as follows... Sala.. 2 X eels to 1lb 8oz 1 X dogfish Me.... 1 X pout 1 X sole - 34cm 1 X ray - 5lb 10oz 4 X bass - 3lb 6oz (51cm) 4 X smoothies 2 X 2lb, 6lb 6oz(88cm),. 8lb 4oz(94cm)'

'Olivia Scott caught her first bass last night of 40cm

Was a good session catching also sole, pout, plaice, dogfish, smoothound pup, and a spider crab!

Olivia is not confident in casting, reeling in and baiting up using various baits.

TAKE YOUR KIDS SEA FISHING!!!

she is now hooked! All fish were safely returned.'

Jim Whippy is pictured with one of the three smoothounds caught last night from a local beach, the biggest being 104cm/12lb12oz, also 100cm and 80cm, all caught on squid bait. Great picture Jim!!

Well Done Tony Rose - pictured below outside Anglers Den with a magnificent bass of 9lb 2oz caught today in Pevensey Bay, on old lugworm bait!!
