An Anderida Beach Fishing Club competition held in Pevensey Bay match saw 28 anglers catch a great variety of fish with 11 different species recorded including dover sole, flounder, plaice, dabs, smoothound, two bass, lots of dogfish, whiting, pout, ling and an eel.
The biggest fish was Mark Franks smoothound of 2lb 6¾oz just ahead of 2lb 6oz bass caught by Tim Lane. Both fish were returned alive. The best flatfish was a lovely flounder of 1lb 3½oz for Dave Powell.
Tom Gregory is also pictured below with a 49cm bass caught off Langney Point Eastbourne today.

Thanks Chris Voller for a great report and pictures: 'Had our first ray trip since we got locked down in the bay last night, last hour of flood and first 2 hours of the ebb . Squid and herring cocktails accounted for 9 ray between Colin Voller and myself, the largest for myself at 7lb 2oz, but dad managed a more than respectable best fish of 5lb 4oz. Stay safe guys'
