Thanks Peter Cornwell for another great report and picture from a session on a local beach at the weekend!

'So here's a catch report from sat night, fished Eastbourne with fishing buddy Sala, calm night, and not to cold. I will say b4 anyone comments, only two bass came home with me, which is plenty for dinner. So onto the fish.....

Sala... 30+ Whiting, 4 x sole, 1 x pout, 1 x plaice

Me....40+Whiting, 3 x sole, 3 x Bass up to 3lb'

Matteusz David is pictured with a 4.8lb/60cm bass caught on a lure locally. Well done Matteusz!!

Well done also to Joe Plumstead pictured with a 1lb15oz bass that won him the Anderida Beach Fishing Club match tonight :)

Trevor Rooney fished Seaford beach a couple of times this week and reported:

'Plenty of garfish to be caught on Seaford beach yesterday.

Tactics were float fishing & pop up rigs baited with mackerel or gar strips . . . . . . . My pal Rollerball (Mark Underhill) landed a couple of nice plaice casting lugworm a good distance. Great fun in the Sun ! !'

and then on Weds:

'Back out on Seaford beach again today, "string weed" much reduced since Tuesday. . . . . Plenty of Gars & Macks, Plaice to 40 cm + and a Gurnard. . . . A pleasant session.' Thanks Trevor!!

Thanks Jason Scott for this report after another great session fishing from a local beach:

'So after the first bass on a lure this year I had to have more.
After some arranging with Matteusz David we headed out and met up at 4.50am this morning

It was hard going for me at first and I tried lots of things as the daylight started to break the sea came alive and Matt was catching fish after fish !
I tried everything !

Then I put on my Pirate Lures teaser and bang fish on reeled in to this chunk 60cm 5 and a half pound my biggest bass on lure and a new PB

Matt has 10 fish total.

I had this one and another few small school bass all on same lure
What a morning.

Deffo hooked on this lightweight way of fishing absolutely breath taking.'

Well done Kevin Pratt who caught this 6lb 4oz cod from an Eastbourne beach 2 hrs after high tide this evening. The fish took lug on a single hook pulley rig fished at distance.

Young Olivia Scott is pictured looking very pleased with a nice dogfish caught in the early hours (4am start!) after badgering her dad Jason about going night fishing and wanting to catch a dogfish of her own. Result!!

All reeled in by herself. Well done Olivia - that's one for the girls!!

Totally hooked now, just like her Dad :)
