Recent catches from Pevensey and Eastbourne beaches have included plaice, bass, sole, thornback rays, conger eels and dogfish as well as pout and whiting, and also reports of the occasional codling.

Harvey Shelley sent this great pictrure from a session last night on a local beach, saying:
'I came in for some rag and squid last night to fish the high tide! Had a pretty good session with 4 pout, 1 silver eel, 2 good doggies and a nice sized whiting. Fished two hours after high tide and still getting plenty of bites.'
Thanks Harvey - good to hear!

Thanks Jack for the report and pictures - great to hear!

As the great mixed bag fishing continues off local beaches this autumn, Peter Cornwell also sent us another catch report
