'A perfect forecast yesterday so I left work and Launched Saturday afternoon to spend a few hours on the water while my wife went shopping. Original plan was to drift for plaice with one rod pulling a couple of rag worms the other lug worms. Seeing if the plaice had any preference? However complete lack of tide meant I just twitched the baits along with the small breeze at slack water. Still having the odd plaice.
As the tide picked up and I had a bit of consistency and speed in the drift. I had regular double hook ups and frequent action on each mini drift. Lost count of the number of plaice well in exchange excess of 20 maybe 30+, no big ones and my smallest ever. I think fish are bigger at Seaford.
Fished for around 3 hours and headed back in to find somebody had tried to use my kayak trolley as a balance board or something (broken). Couple of beach anglers were kind enough to help me get the kayak up the beach. Only kept the deep or difficult to unhook fish returning anything I could. Sorry for poor quality pictures my go pro was flat and called in the reserve. Which kept fogging up. Soon be doing some evening, night sessions. Tight lines everyone.'
