Plaice February 2018

Plaice - Seaford, Langney Point, Pevensey Bay - Feb 2018

Throughout January and February we have had reports from competition and leisure anglers of plaice of 50cm+ off local beaches, especially Seaford, Langney Point and Pevensey Bay.

The best time to fish is when the weather is settled in the daytime, the sea is flat and when winds are either slack or northerly.

We have also had reports of some dabs, flounder and even early sole being caught off the local shoreline.

DOUBLE SHOT OF GOOD SIZED PLAICE - First Cast of the Morning!! Michael Adamson sent us this picture (below left) of Ken Filtness fishing the Railway Tavern Beach Fishing Comp at Seaford  who caught this double shot of good sized plaice - in his first cast of the comp - stunning catch, Well Done!
Good catches of plaice have continued throughout February at Langney Point and Pevensey Bay.

Pictured right is Kevin Morgan with a fantastic catch of this 3lb 5oz, 55cm plaice caught at Seaford. On the next cast, Kev caught another 45cm plaice! Well Done Kev!

Happy Days. Keep your catch reports coming :)
