Charity Beach Competition Sunday 28th May 2017
The Charity Beach Competition which took place on Sunday 28th May 2017 was part of our 2017 fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Charity Beach Competition in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support took place in Pevensey Bay on Sunday 28th May. The £15 entry for this comp included a £5 donation to Macmillan, and £10 towards the cash prize fund and 36 people entered the comp.
Sponsorship for this Charity comp meant that there were also a number of good prizes up for grabs. These included: a Tronix Vipe Beach Rod, donated by Tronixpro, a Vass Winter Thermal Smock donated by Vass Waders & Rainwear, a Blackrock TT8000 Fast Drag Distance Reel donated by Fishzone Blackrock, 2 x Sovereign Boat Rods donated by Masterline Walker, a Beach Rod Rest donated by Svendsen Sports and a seat box donated by Anglers Den.
The Junior prize, a Beach Fishing Set , was kindly donated by Dennis Puttick.

Biggest Round Fish - Gerald Sargeant - Bass 34cm
In the true spirit of the event, Gerald Sargeant who won both the heaviest round and flatfish prizes (two boat rods), donated a boat rod to Junior Angler Ollie Franks who had caught the second biggest flat fish with a dover sole of 42cm and just under 2lb.

Lots of raffle tickets were also sold on the day, meaning that the event raised almost £300 in total - Fantastic - Well Done to all ?
