Beach Shelter - Putting it up and Taking it down

Glyn Morgan demonstrates how to correctly put up and take down an Imax Storm Safe Beach Shelter

Beach shelters work brilliantly as a wind shield and can provide much needed protection from the elements for anglers, their gear and their bait on wet and windy as well as hot days. Sorting out terminal tackle, and baiting up is much easier if you are out of the wind!

For shore fishing, shelters also require generous ‘skirts’. These lie flat on the ground and need to be covered by stones and shingle to prevent the shelter from being blown away.

It’s always worth remembering that practice makes perfect, and the process of putting up and taking down a beach shelter does get easier with time. So, it'salways worth having a few ‘dry runs’ in the back garden before taking your beach shelter to the beach, especially if the first proper trip out coincides with windy weather!
