Smoothound, Bass, Dabs, Plaice, Pout, Whiting - good to see a mix of species off local beaches.
Chris Eyre caught this 3lb, 46cm black bream off the beach at Langney Point today.
Still plenty of flatfish being caught in Pevensey Bay through March
Throughout January and February we have had reports of plaice off local beaches, especially Seaford, Langney Point and Pevensey Bay.
Flounders, dab, pout and the occasional plaice are being caught off the local shoreline, as well as whiting and dogfish in recent weeks.
With the recent settled weather, dover sole, plaice, bass and mackerel have continue to be caught off local Eastbourne, Langney Point and Pevensey Beaches.

We have had lots of reports through August of good sized bass being caught from local Eastbourne and Pevensey beaches, including this 11lb 2oz one!!
